G.F. and Rose Watkins began PowerHouse in 1996 by knocking on doors in the Katy area and inviting people to a different kind of church with a mission to restore order in a world of chaos. He began his career as a Texas High School coach and now uses those same coaching principles to build men and raise sons while teaching that manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous. www.powerhousechurch.tv
Joe Onosai
Joe Onosai (born December 10, 1965) is a former strongman competitor and Professional football player. Onosai is a Samoan tribal prince and a former member of the Dallas Cowboys. During his time with the Dallas Cowboys, Joe badly injured his neck and was paralyzed from the waist up. He could not compete again for 2 years after the accident, and he began focusing on strongman competitions. Joe made it to the finals of the World’s Strongest Man contest twice, in 1994 and 1995. He now Pastors Destiny Christian Church in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Tommy Sirotnik
Tommy “Big Tommy” Sirotnak was a former team captain for the 1981 USC Football team and a member of the World Famous “Power Team”, world class athletes performing unusual “feats of strength”. Tom has reached thousands of “Tough Men” training them to seize their destiny and purpose in life… from over 80 US Navy SEAL’s, to hundreds in the NFL, NBA, WWF, MLB, Professional Body Builders and untold numbers of athletes from Universities around the world.
Carven Izaks
Pastors Carven and Juanita Izaks received the ‘calling on their lives’ to plant a church during 2006.Prior to this Pastor Carven was actively involved in men’s ministry for 10 years, within which time he also led Dr. Edwin Louis Cole’s Christian Men’s Network for eight years in Namibia. www.powerhouse.com.na
Bernie McLaughlin
Pastor Bernie McLaughlin has been in ministry since 1980. He and his wife, Nan, have been married for 43 years. They have three married children, and eight grandchildren.In 1987 he founded Cornerstone Church (now The Bridge Church) in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, upon his return to Scotland from South Africa where he had already pioneered his first church, which is still flourishing today.His vision is to reach out with a message of faith, hope and love to the people of Scotland and to establish a network of church branches worldwide. www.bridge-church.com
